Σκέφτομαι αυτά τα έργα σαν ψίθυρους:
ψιθυρισμένος ύμνους
ψιθυρισμένους επαίνους
ψίθυρος που ακούγονται μέσα από μια χαραμάδα στο παράθυρο,
ή που μουρμουρίζει το ασυνείδητο,
σαν αποσπασματικές ημερολογικές καταγραφές
για την καθημερινότητά μου
για το σώμα
για τις σκέψεις.
Ο σιωπηλός και ήσυχος αέρας
γύρω από τα μαρμάρινα γλυπτά,
με το βάρος και σωματικότητά τους,
εξακολουθεί να με γοητεύει διότι είναι
τόσο αντίθετος με την πραγματικότητά μου.
I like to think of these works as whispers:
whispered hymns
whispered praises
whispers heard through a crack in
a window, or murmured from my subconscious,
as fragmented journal entries
about my day-to-day,
my body
my thoughts.
The quiet, calm air
surrounding marble sculptures,
with its weight and physicality,
continues to captivate me because it is
so antithetical to my reality.
